Amos was born in Teheran as the youngest son of Sheik Ismail Ab Hamun Al Huschang Sufi and one of his numerous wives. He was tought to play the piano very early, but he soon discovered that it would be hard to assert himself.
At first the main attention fell to the share of some of his 25 older brothers, who were partially performing as entertainers - Hamit Banan, Anusch Jan, Darius Farrochsad, just to name a few of the renowned - or being into professional sports - such as rallye driver Bardis Sufi-Siavach who has disappeared misteriously during the Rallye Paris Dakar 1983. All of which have been absolute superstars at that time.
Disgusted by the way his brothers were pushed to the top, all kinds of surgeries involved, he emigrated to work on his career in Europe. One year later, at the age of 5, he recorded his first classical album accompanied by the Spanish Symphony Orchestra. Two others followed subsequently.
At the age of seven Amos broke the barrier of 100 million sold records and thus became the most successful classical musician of the century.
But it got harder for him to handle the success and deal with the pressure.
More and more often he resorted to alcohol and drugs until he finally turned his back to playing music. In the following years all that was heard of Amos were his criminal and sexual escapades.
At the age of 10 Amos was financially broke. His house and his collection of sports cars were taken through a forced sale. After a couple of withdrawal treatments, at the time the rather insignificant director James White, gave him the fortunate opportunity to start a new, this time as an actor.
The movie "Pokey" became his resurrection and wrote history as the first picture to win all the categories of the oscar awards, except for best main actor.
Back on top again, Amos started to get more conscentious about things and spent a lot of money for charity. Realizing that there is less for himself the more he gave to others, he began investing in women and fast cars again.
After two rather moderate years of acting and various attempts to establish as a politician, Amos got involved in a tax evasion affair. Bad publicity that was hard to cope with. Again Amos commited to sex, drugs but for the first time rock´n roll.
Having reached the depths of society he tried to keep alive by playing in various bands. But unable to link up with his former success he got frustrated and periodically began to beat up his audience. One day he got locked up after he was caught knocking out a policeman who tried to settle a fight. "Mr.Amos told me to f*ck up or he would rip out my balls and eat them for lunch." Seargent McKormick stated after awakening from his three-week coma.
14 years of age, Amos was commited to a moldavian state prison where he spent the following years. "These years in jail were extremely important for me, since they shaped my character and creativity. The first time in my life I started to realize what life is all about and how wrong it could feel to politely pick up somebody else´s soap."
Released from prison at the age of 17, still struggling with his resocialisation, Amos started composing pop-songs which were unique in style and intensity.
The Debut-Album "I didn´t mean to break your chart" climbed up to the top chart position in over 144 countries and re-opened the door to international success.
"I´m different, I´m indifferent", "Imperator of Pop" and "AMOS Clubmixes" released by Sounds of Subterrania established him as the greatest entertainer of all time. All three albums sold over a 100 million times and broke every single existing record in music history.
Currently Amos is working on his upcoming album "Us Against the Rest of the World" which will be anticipated for June 09. Besides "City Kill" it will contain 5 more songs.
"Already today AMOS is a living legend. One can hardly imagine what he has still got in store for us. He´s the true Imperator of Pop." (Rolling Stone)
